A Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is required to be submitted before goods are shipped. After verification by the local Applus+ offices in the exporting country, the CoC will be issued. When the goods arrive at customs at the destination port, the products will be released based on the issued CoC.
The Certificate of Conformity is a requirement in many countries. For goods exported to Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle Eastern and African countries and regions, the importing country's customs require importers to provide a CoC issued by a recognised international certification company such as Applus+ for the shipment.
To ensure the quality of imported products, prevent unsafe and counterfeit goods from entering the local market and harming public safety and health, and to consider environmental protection, these countries stipulate that exporting companies must apply for a CoC with the nominated certification body (such as Applus+) to conduct product testing and inspection before shipment.
Only products that comply with the importing country's regulations are granted a Certificate of Conformity (CoC). This allows the exporter to clear customs smoothly at the importing country's port. Otherwise, importation is not permitted. Failure to provide the CoC as required may result in hefty fines at the destination port or even the return of goods.
As a leading global third-party company, Applus+ can issue corresponding CoC and COI certificates according to relevant national or regional regulations and standards. We provide services to help exporters better understand the latest official requirements of various countries and offer comprehensive and efficient testing and certification services.
