This significant milestone aligns with the latest industry standards for cybersecurity and the testing of connected devices.
Applus+ Laboratories was the first Notified Body to certify cybersecurity articles under the RED. Now, with this new accreditation for EN 18031 testing, our lab is positioned as a reference point for evaluating product compliance with European regulations.
Previously accredited for ETSI 303 645, our Shanghai facility has now been added to the list of laboratories authorized to perform both ETSI 303 645 and EN 18031 testing. This expansion strengthens our global capabilities, enabling us to provide comprehensive security evaluations for connected devices directly from Shanghai.
Note that EN 18031 (once harmonized) will serve as the foundation for product certification under the RED directive.
As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, these certifications ensure that Applus+ Laboratories is well-prepared to deliver rigorous testing and evaluation for IoT and connected technologies, enhancing the security and compliance of products worldwide.
For our clients, this expanded accreditation offers:
The extension of ISO 17025 accreditation marks a commitment to quality, ensuring that products undergo thorough evaluation and meet the stringent standards needed to protect data and ensure compliance. This strengthens the security and reliability of connected ecosystems.
